Hollyhock ‘Chaters Pink’ produces spectacular tall spires covered with large, fully double flowers in soft, romantic pink. A classic selection from the historic Chater’s Series, it brings an unmistakable cottage-garden character to borders and makes a wonderful cut flower.
Tips to grow:
Hollyhock is a biennial plant. It forms a leafy rosette in the first year and blooms the following year. Light is required for germination; cover seeds very lightly with vermiculite. Sow in a mini greenhouse with a transparent lid and keep the soil evenly moist. Transplanting is recommended. Grow in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Tall plants may need support. Good air circulation helps prevent rust.
