Product Specification

A stunning variety cultivated in Japan for hundreds of years, Black Futsu has fruits with deep and extremely bumpy ribs. For most of the season, they have a gorgeous dark green to charcoal black color, but in autumn, the fruit's color changes to a grey-bloomed dusty orange.
Harvest them during this color transformation for unique autumn decorations, or wait for full ripeness for maximum flavor—nutty and sweet with hints of chestnut. The thin skin is edible. The yield is 4-5 fruits per plant, each weighing 1.5-2 kg.
The highly decorative Black Futsu variety keeps for 6-8 months.
